«UPI-AGRO» rated third among largest sugar producers in Ukraine
UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO owns two sugar factories in the Vinnytsia region, located in the immediate vicinity of the Company’s sugar beet production.
UPI-AGRO factories are the leaders of Ukrainian sugar industry in terms of processing capacity and sugar extraction ratio.
In 2018, Kryzhopil sugar factory set a record for the sugar volumes produced by the single factory. The factory produced 171 thousand tons of sugar, which is absolute record for the whole history of sugar production in Ukraine
UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO takes pride in its ability to produce a quality product at a great rate, and so investment into modern practices, with the goal of increasing daily processing capacity and energy efficiency, is seen as essential. As an example, recent renovation to the Kryzhopil Sugar Refinery and the Gaisyn Sugar Refinery has allowed production capacity to increase from 5,500 to 8,000 tonnes per day respectively. This was accomplished by converting the plants’ steam boilers from gas to coal, enabling the cost of processing the steam to decrease by 2.5 times, and allowing the Company to become the most efficient sugar producer in Ukraine.

UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO organises the production season so that the sugar beet is processed over the optimum amount of time – 100 days.
UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO attaches great importance to the quality and safety of its products. The Company’s sugar refineries were ISO 9001:2008 certified in 2011, with the Gaisyn refinery receiving FSSC 22000 – food safety management certification based on HASSP principles – in 2013.
