"UPI-AGRO" reviewed operational results

In 2016, the Company demonstrated strong operational performance with the record results. For the first time in the Company’s history 1 mln. 570 thousand tons of sugar beet were processed and 253 thousand tons of sugar were produced. Kryzhopil and Gaysyn sugar factories traditionally entered TOP-3 largest sugar factories in Ukraine, ranked # 2 and 3# accordingly.
Vinnitsa bread factory #2 strengthened its leading position in Ukrainian grain milling. The factory produced 145,9 thousand tons of flour (+70% y-o-y). Also in 2016, the factory ranked #2 among largest flour exporters.
The cattle farming business of the Company also demonstrated positive dynamic. The milk yield per cow reached 8210kg, which is 60% above the Ukrainian average.
The Company harvested 543,5 thousand tons of grains and oilseeds (+40y-o-y). The average winter wheat yield amounted 7,25 t/ha, which is twice higher than Ukrainian average.
Also in 2016, UPI-AGRO started construction of a new grain silo in Gaisyn Vinnitsa region. The first stage of the complex with the storage capacity 40 thousand tones went into operation in September 2016.
