UKRRPOMINVEST-AGRO finished sugar beet sowing campaign

Production units of UPI-AGRO finished sowing campaign of the key crop – sugar beet. This year the total area under sugar beet amounted 28 thousand hectares.The sowing of ardent barley on 5 thousand hectares, ardent wheat on 1,3 thousand hectares, peas on 1 thousand hectares and grasses for cattle farming on 440 hectares was successfully completed as well. The sowing of corn (14,5 thousand hectares) and soybeans (12 thousand hectares) is on the way.

In general, the weather conditions during sowing and sufficient soils moisture are favorable for the vegetation. The Company’s agronomists also inform that winter crops on the area 32 thousand hectares are in good condition.
